Horizon Solutions, a wholesale distributor of electrical, automation and industrial products in upstate New York and New England, today announced the expansion of their value-added services by becoming a designated Hoffman Certified Modification Center.

“Customers tell us that performing manual control enclosure modifications is an inefficient and time-consuming process and that actual costs can vary widely from what was estimated. In addition, enclosure manufacturers sometimes struggle with providing small runs of custom mods, causing delays and customer service challenges. We are excited that Horizon’s customers will now realize significant benefits from our investment in a system that enables us to perform these mods in-house on an automated machining center. This reduces costs, improves lead times and provides a more consistent, quality product to our customers. We are calling this service ‘EnclosureMods made EZ’ by Horizon Solutions and in-stock enclosures can ship in as little as one to three days after the drawings are approved. Ordering is easy; customers can supply us with their CAD or DXF files or, if they lack these, we can create them on demand. All the drilling, tapping, and cutting is automated, delivering ready to install enclosures with perfectly smooth edges, precise clean holes and cutouts. This service will definitely help make our customers more productive. We’ve processed a number of orders already and the feedback has been very positive,” said David Hayes, Executive VP of Sales & Marketing Communications.

EnclosureMods made EZ is the most versatile solution when it comes to accommodating a wide range of global enclosure dimensional standards. It can accommodate enclosures up to 93 inches tall by 86 inches wide and back panels up to 92 inches tall by 94 inches wide. The machine offers programmed automated modifications for a variety of materials, including mild carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, die cast aluminum, copper, or any composite materials including PVC, polycarbonate, thermoplastic and fiberglass.

“Horizon Solutions offers single source convenience for all of our customer’s control panel needs from modifications to panel fabrication and related value add services. Partnering with us allows our customers to take the guesswork out of their estimates and it utilizes a fixed cost solution for your panel fabrication needs,” said Hayes. Learn more>>

Horizon Solutions, a wholesale distributor of electrical and industrial products and services across New England and upstate New York, recently introduced its new corporate brand identity and website.

“We’ve built a very unique and successful business in the 16 years since Horizon Solutions was created through the merger of three strong regional independent companies. Our external image and messaging, however, had remained basically as it was when the company was originally formed, and really didn’t align well with who we are today,” said Dave Hayes, Executive VP of Sales & Marketing Communications. “We needed to update and standardize our image to better reflect the company we’ve built. We’ve refined our messaging and rebranded with a new logo and website which tells our story more effectively. Our new look and feel, with its bright energetic colors and concise copy, better reflects the Horizon Solutions of today, and more clearly articulates how we improve the productivity, efficiency and profitability of our customers. Our capabilities and technical resources uniquely position us to bring value to customers, and this effort more clearly reflects that.”

“The new Horizon Solutions website www.HS-E.com was designed with a modern fresh look and user-friendly navigation. We’ve experienced a significant increase in traffic since going live and have fielded numerous customer inquiries via our on-line chat functionality. The platform has also generated many new opportunities, which, of course, is a major benefit to our key suppliers.”
