The PowerFlex® family of AC drives offers a broad range of control modes, features, and options

This is a technical training class focused on PowerFlex 750-Series Drives from Rockwell Automation. This course covers configuration and startup. After completing this course, you should be able to verify PowerFlex 750-Series Drive installation, locating and Modify PowerFlex 750-Series Drive data, as well as be able to configure an EtherNet/IP Communications Adapter for a PowerFlex 750-Series Drive.

Who Should Attend:

This course is intended for individuals who need to configure and start up PowerFlex 750-Series drives. To successfully complete this course, the following prerequisites are required: {1} working knowledge of electricity, and knowledge of electrical and industrial safety including PPE requirements and safe practices, {2} ability to perform basic Microsoft® Windows® tasks, and {3} successful completion of the previous courses listed below or equivalent experience.

RE {#3} Prerequisite:

  • AC/DC Motors and Drives Fundamentals course (Course No. CCA101), or
  • Fundamentals of AC and DC Motors and Drives web based training (ePass/WBT1PACK)

With a consistent programming structure and common operator interface, PowerFlex Drives ease programming and configuration, and they reduce set-up time, training, and operation. PowerFlex Compact-class AC drives deliver a cost-effective, general-purpose solution for standalone machine level control applications and simple system integration. PowerFlex Architecture-class AC drives provide a broad set of features and application-specific parameters, and they are ideal for high-performance applications.

Learning Experience:

Upon completion of this course, each student will be given a wired PowerFlex 750-Series drive (PowerFlex 753 or PowerFlex 755) and AC motor. You will be able to start up the drive and configure drive parameters to meet application needs.

Throughout the course, you will have the chance to use a variety of hardware and software tools, including:

  • The A6 LCD HIM
  • DriveExecutive software
  • DriveExplorer software

Throughout this course, you will have the opportunity to practice the skills you have learned through a variety of hands-on exercises:
