PowerFlex 750-Series Maintenance and Troubleshooting

This is a technical training class focused on PowerFlex 750-Series Drives from Rockwell Automation. This course covers maintenance and troubleshooting. After completing this course, you should be able to locate PowerFlex 750-Series Drive hardware, locating and Modify PowerFlex 750-Series Drive data using the A6 HIM, locate and modify PowerFlex 750-Series Drive data using Drive Software, and clear PowerFlex 750-Series Drive alarms and faults.

Who Should Attend:

This course is intended for individuals responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting PowerFlex 750-Series drives. To successfully complete this course, the following prerequisites are required: {1} working knowledge of electricity, and knowledge of electrical and industrial safety including PPE requirements and safe practices, {2} previous experience with PowerFlex 700 Vector Control and/or PowerFlex 700S drives is recommended but not required, and {3} successful completion of the previous courses listed below or equivalent experience.

RE {#3} Prerequisite:

  • AC/DC Motors and Drives Fundamentals course (Course No. CCA101), or
  • Fundamentals of AC and DC Motors and Drives Web-based training (ePass/WBT1PACK)

Learning Experience:

Hands-on practice is an integral part of learning, and this course offers extensive hands-on opportunities. An in-class workstation allows students to replace PowerFlex 750-Series drive components and troubleshoot faults and alarms. The PowerFlex 750-Series drive workstation introduces real-world maintaining and troubleshooting situations into a classroom setting. All technology is provided for student use in the classroom by Rockwell Automation. It is not necessary for students to bring any technology with them when attending this course.

After completing this course, students should be able to:

  1. Perform predictive maintenance using PowerFlex 750-Series parameters
  2. Troubleshoot PowerFlex 750-Series load and environmental faults
  3. Troubleshoot PowerFlex 750-Series equipment malfunctions
