ControlLogix® Studio 5000 Logix Designer Level 1

This is a 4-1/2 day classroom style course all about ControlLogix training! ControlLogix®Studio 5000 Logix Designer Level 1 – ControlLogix Fundamentals and Troubleshooting. Throughout this course, students will have the opportunity to practice the skills through a variety of hands-on exercises. Exercises focus on the skills introduced in each lesson using a ControlLogix workstation. Integrated practices combine and practice several key skills at once.

This is classroom-style course all about ControlLogix training is a great opportunity for engineers, programmers, and more:

  • Learn basic concepts and terminology used with ControlLogix system hardware and Studio 5000 Logix Designer® applications
  • Practice a systematic strategy for diagnosing and troubleshooting problems such as configuration issues, electrical noise, controller I/O, or other hardware issues
  • Perform hands-on exercises

Who Should Attend:

This course is intended for individuals who need to maintain and troubleshoot a ControlLogix system – but have no current working experience with ControlLogix systems. Technical topics to be covered include:

  • Locating ControlLogix Components
  • Navigating through the Logix Designer Application
  • Connecting a Computer to a Communications Network
  • Locating I/O Tags and Devices
  • Interpreting Logix Designer Project Organization and Execution
  • Interpreting Ladder Logic Structure
  • Forcing I/O and Toggling Bits
  • Updating Logix5000 Firmware
  • Analyzing and Troubleshooting a System Using a Trend Chart
  • Editing Ladder Logic Online
  • Managing Logix Designer Project Files
  • Troubleshooting Noise-Related Problems
  • Troubleshooting Digital I/O, Analog I/O, and Remote I/O Problems

Curriculum Note: This course contains many of the lessons in courses CCP146 and CCP153 – in a consolidated four and a half-day format. Do not take all 3 courses.
